Crafts, contests, gymkhanas, dance classes and scientific experiments are some of the free activities that the Alcantarilla City Council has programmed to promote healthy leisure among children and young people in the municipality.The activities will be taught online every Friday and Saturday from September 18 to October 18.
All of them can be followed from the social media profiles of the Department of Social Welfare, Family and Women, @alcantarillaocioactivo for Instagram and @Alcantarillaocio for Facebook.To participate it will be necessary to register in advance by sending an email with the participants' data to alcantarillaocioactivo@gmail.com.Among the activities, there are sessions of Zumba, yoga, Latin dance, Pilates and ballroom dancing.
Also craft workshops, such as the construction of a planetarium and scientific experiments such as creating a foam volcano, extracting DNA from a banana or making a lava lamp with materials that we can find at home.There are also magic shows for all ages, two gymkhanas, one for children from 6 to 12 years old and one for over 12 years old, a talk-route about 'Sewer and its legend' and an online Harry Potter trivia.In addition, on Friday, September 18, the 'The Search' contest begins, in which participants will have to solve a mystery and find a hidden prize somewhere in the municipality, with the clues that will be given every Friday at 8:00 p.m.
through social media.On Friday 18 the photography contest 'Leisure in scrambled times' also begins, with the theme of daily life at home.The activities and workshops are part of the AlcantarillActiva project, launched by the City Council, with the aim of offering an alternative and healthy leisure time and preventing drug addiction among the younger population.
