He added that "registering and protecting inventions is key as a competitive advantage for any company, so this contest allows to bring the youngest, in a didactic and fun way, concepts and processes that, undoubtedly, will drive them when facing to your professional future.
" Innovative and sustainable proposal The proposal of the six young people consists of an integral product that allows eating nuts, such as pipes, pistachios and peanuts, among other foods, and depositing the inedible components in the container, which prevents them from being thrown on the ground.
This initiative is innovative in design and sustainable with the environment, because it must manufacture biodegradable, compostable materials, or using both. The container can take various forms and contain any type of product.
It consists of two consecutive and hollow cavities where one part is hermetically closed and allows optimal preservation of the food after opening, while the other part is open and houses the remains of the dried fruit.
Both areas are joined by a removable procedure, which can be separated when used. The prize, valued at 1,600 euros, consisted of the drafting, presentation of the invention patent and utility model by IPITEC, an industrial property consultant.
In addition, it has already been processed before the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. # INNOTECA2020 is a contest that rewards the most innovative idea that can constitute a patent.
Its purpose is to promote the investigative spirit, project management and teamwork, as well as the development of ideas and the resolution of technical problems with the application of new procedures.
