The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, received this morning the outgoing chief colonel of the Alcantarilla Air Base, Francisco Javier Fernández, and his replacement, Colonel José Alberto Llopis, who will take possession and take over command of the Alcantarilla Air Base, of the Military School of Skydiving "Méndez Parada" and air military commander of airports in Almería and Alicante, on Friday, July 3, at the Alcantarilla Air Base.Buendía highlighted the excellent work of the outgoing chief colonel, "who has maintained an excellent relationship with our city and has accompanied us in all the events we have organized."The mayor wished the new colonel luck and reiterated "the love and respect that our city has for the Air Base".
José Alberto Llopis comes from the Headquarters of the Combat Air Command, in Madrid.
