| During the state of alarm, ten more users have joined | 105 users benefit from the Home Help service for elderly and dependent people in Alcantarilla, provided by the Department of Social Welfare, Family and Women.

During the state of alarm, ten new users have joined, five cases due to social emergency and five derived from the Day Center, since during the Covid-19 crisis it has remained closed. The Government Board of the City Council approved the signing of the collaboration agreement with the Murcian Institute of Social Action (IMAS) of the Autonomous Community for the provision of this service, from July 1 of this year to December 31, 2021, with a contribution by the IMAS of 576,600 euros. The City Council has provided the Home Help service through the agency since October 2013, and manages it directly, with its own staff, which guarantees a higher quality of service, and continuous monitoring of the elderly and dependent people . It consists of assisting the elderly or dependent person at home, attending to their daily personal needs, stimulating and promoting autonomy, as well as cleaning, cooking and personal hygiene.
