| The Governing Board has approved these projects, for which it has been requested an aid of 512,600 euros | The Alcantarilla City Council has asked the Autonomous Community Works and Services Plan for a subsidy for the works of the second phase of the rehabilitation of the surroundings of the Huerta, Ferris Wheel and Aqueduct Museum, and the conditioning and renovation of the Campoamor Garden.
The Governing Board has given the go-ahead to these projects, for which aid of 512,600 euros has been requested. Phase II of the Aqueduct environment involves the construction of green areas and leisure spaces in the area closest to the Municipal Library.
A large garden with a walk has been planned, the adaptation of the Roman remains found in the area, the reconstruction of the canal of the aqueduct canal and the construction of natural pavement in the surroundings of the arches.
This project has a budget of 266,200 euros, of which 249,300 have been requested from the Works and Services Plan and the rest will be contributed by the City Council. Likewise, the Works and Services Plan, which is biannual, will serve to finalize the conditioning and renovation of the Campoamor garden, continuing with the actions carried out last year.
This second phase includes the renovation of the pavement, lighting and urban furniture (benches and litter bins), the replacement of the fountain, and the change of the planters to gain more space for citizens.
This project has a budget of 281,000 euros, of which 263,200 are requested for the grant from the Community Plan and the rest will be from a municipal contribution.
