| The amount will go to the "Solidarity Account" created by the Consistory for the purchase of material sanitary and food products | The Mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, and the 11 councilors of the Popular Party in the Alcantarilla City Council have donated a total of 5,550 euros to help the families of the municipality most affected by the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Buendía indicated that "we have been doing everything in our power during the long days of this state of alarm and now we also want to personally contribute with a financial contribution to this solidarity initiative." The amount will go to the "Solidarity Account", one of the 40 measures adopted by the City Council to deal with the crisis.

This account centralizes all donations from individuals and companies in order to buy sanitary materials and food and hygiene products for families who need it most. The decision agreed by the mayor and all the popular councilors is intended to help in particular to overcome the consequences of the pandemic.

It is one of the many contributions that the Alcantarilla society is making.
