The municipal spokesman José Manuel López recalls that Citizens supported in 2017 the transfer of a plot in the La Torrica neighborhood and the budget for the construction of the new building for 2 million eurosCitizens, through the regional senator Miguel Sánchez, has registered a question in the Upper House to the Government and has expressed at the municipal level the urgent need to tender the construction of the new National Police Station in Alcantarilla.

In this sense, the Speaker of Citizens in the Alcantarilla City Council, José Manuel López,He recalled that already in 2016 and with the votes in favor of Citizens, the Alcantarilla City Council agreed to transfer a municipal plot of 1,800 square meters for the construction of a new solar police station on Calle Alcalde José Legaz Saavedra, in the neighborhood of La Torrica, despite the abstention of the PSOE and the vote against Izquierda Unida.The director general of the Police, Germán López, came to ratify the agreement and committed to the tender during 2018 and with an execution period of 18 months, with a total investment of 2 million euros.

"Despite all this, our police officers continue to carry out their work in unworthy facilities in the fifth municipality of the Region and in difficult conditions, so we request that they respond to this request for information as soon as possible," said Senator Orange.
