The Alcantarilla City Council held today the first virtual Government Meeting in its history through Gestiona, the Consistory's electronic administration platform.
At the Governing Board, chaired by the Mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, the coordination of the actions of the state of alarm was addressed.
Buendía explained that the City Council has launched a series of economic measures to support families and companies, worth half a million euros, in order to help sewers out of the Covid-19 crisis.
The City Council has given priority to social emergency aid, food and dining room scholarships, which benefit nearly a hundred families, the state and needs of the Day Center users and children are monitored who attended the Early Care Center.
In addition, women who attend the Specialized Care Center for Women Victims of Violence (CAVI) are followed up and security methods have been incorporated so that women can contact in an emergency with privacy and security, as they may be living with his abuser.
The Local Sewer Police, in addition to its usual citizen security tasks, carries out controls and surveillance in the city to verify that the citizens respect the confinement.
Also, Civil Protection volunteers offer help to the elderly who live alone and people with disabilities to make the purchase and go to the pharmacy, and are collaborating in the collection of masks, gowns and hats that companies and neighbors of Sewer and surroundings.
The streets of Alcantarilla are disinfected daily by a human team of 12 operators, distributed throughout all the neighborhoods, using two hydro-cleaning equipment with a 400 and 200-liter tank, two truck-high-pressure cleaner units with a capacity of 300 liters each, fumigated tank on a tractor with a capacity of 500 liters, as well as operators with 16-liter capacity spray packs to affect specific areas such as street furniture and hard-to-reach corners.
The City Council has also contracted a 2,000-liter tank with a spray bottle, and several businessmen have provided two 2,000-liter tanks with a spray bottle and a 350-liter tank with hoses.
To make quarantine more enjoyable, the City Council provides 48 different weekly sports, leisure, cinema, cooking recipes, crafts, etc. activities from its social networks.
In addition, on the occasion of the celebration of Easter, the transmission of the processions of previous years is offered online.
Secure virtual meetings
The virtual meeting of the Governing Board, through Gestiona, complies with all the requirements contained in the modification of Law 7/1985 regulating the bases of the local regime, which indicates that when exceptional situations of force majeure occur, risk collective or catastrophes that prevent the normal operation of the face-to-face system, sessions may be held and agreements can be adopted remotely by electronic and telematic means.
Although today's is the first virtual Governing Board, councilors have previously held informal meetings by videoconference to coordinate the operation of the different municipal services.
Gestiona allows to identify all the councilors who participate in the virtual meetings of collegiate bodies, since the assistants must access with their password, it certifies that all the attendees are in Spanish territory, since it detects the location and the IP of the computer, allows the Holding virtual plenary sessions that can be publicly broadcast, and enables access to municipal files and the holding, from the platform, of videoconferences related to those files.
Within the Manages program, meetings are held through the Zoom application and sessions of public collegiate bodies, such as the Plenary, can be broadcast on Facebook Live or Workplace by Facebook.
With this system all the collegiate government bodies will meet, in addition to the Government Boards, the Information Commissions as well as the Plenary if the state of alarm remains.
