The schools and institutes of Alcantarilla have joined forces for teachers to record videos and virtually tell stories to children and youth in the municipality.
The initiative is organized by the Department of Education, Culture and Youth of the Alcantarilla City Council and is part of the #AlcantarillaSeQuedaEnCasa program, which offers sports activities, cooking classes, training and leisure through the City Council's social networks and in collaboration with schools , academies, gyms and restaurants of the city.
The storytelling initiative aims to entertain young and old at the same time that reading is encouraged and the values ​​of traditional stories are developed.
The videos of the stories are on the Facebook of the Department of Education, Culture and Youth and new videos are added every week.
The Councilor for Education, Culture and Youth, Marina Lorenzo, who is a teacher and also participates in this initiative by telling a story, highlighted "that a community has been created between the teachers of all the Alcantarilla centers in order to offer didactic and leisure activities so that students can more easily carry home confinement by the Covid-19 ".
