The student Laura Lorente will receive the Young of the Year award
The IV City of Alcantarilla Sports Merit Awards and the III edition of the Youth Awards were presented yesterday at a gala held at the Infanta Elena Cultural Center.
These distinctions recognize the merit of athletes and entities, and the work of young people in the municipality.
The sewer athlete of the Murciana Sports Association of Orientation in Nature, Pedro Mayol, and the Olympic shooter Carmen Moreno received the award for the most outstanding athletes.
Pedro Mayol was last year Champion of Spain long distance h60, Champion of Spain medium distance h60, Runner-up of Spain sprint h60, 3rd national league h55 and Champion regional league h45.
Carmen Moreno was Champion of Spain of Young Promises 2019, Carabina Aire Cadete feminine;
Champion of the Regional Championship 2019, Female Air Compressed Carbine Carbine;
Champion of the Regional Championship 2019, Compressed Air Carbine Female Cadet;
and Champion "Master Cien" Federation of Murcia 2019 ", Female Junior Compressed Air Carbine.

This club was founded in 2008 by a group of five friends from the San Pedro neighborhood who are passionate about athletics.
Currently they have 100 members and since 2017 they organize the San Silvestre Bruja.
The prize for the media that more and better has supported and disseminated the sports reality of the municipality went to Alcantarilla TV.
The Hotel La Paz received the award to the non-sports entity that has most strongly supported the municipality's sport, for its commitment to the sport, its support for events held by the Jairis Club such as 3x3 basketball, Gala of the Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia 2019, the career of the Air Base and the sponsorship of various Alcantarilla teams.

III edition of the Youth Awards
