Comparsas Maracana, from Alcantarilla, and Tambataya, from Mula, have won the Alcantarilla Carnival competition.
Each of them received a prize endowed with 600 euros.
In addition, the second prize, of 300 euros, went to the Iguazú troupe, Alcantarilla;
the third prize, of 200 euros, in the Beysa group (Alcantarilla);
and the three fourth prizes, of 100 euros each, went to the groups Yemanya (Javalí Viejo-Murcia), Kissamba (Mula) and Shambala (Era Alta and Algezares-Murcia).
Alcantarilla lived today its great Carnival parade in which more than 800 people and 27 groups participated, of which 7 groups are from Alcantarilla and 20 groups from different parts of the Region such as Beniaján, Puente Tocinos, El Palmar, Mula, Archena and Librilla
The jury of the contest has been chaired by the Councilor for Education, Culture and Youth, Marina Lorenzo, and as vowels have participated the singer Salva Ortega, the Queen of the Garden 2016 and choreographer, María López, the Councilor for Organization and Contracting, Francisca Terol, and the radio broadcaster Carmen Manzanera.
