The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, participated today in the inauguration of the day "Direct to the heart of the drug: from Chemical Derivatives to the Apothecary".
Buendía welcomed the participants to the city on the day and stressed that Alcantarilla has important industrial and business development areas, and that it houses the largest business park in Europe.
During the day the president of Chemical Derivatives, Marcello Buson, held an inaugural conference on where medicines are made, the active principles;
and the president of the College of Pharmacists, Isabel Tovar, spoke about excipients and pharmaceutical forms.
The mayor said that "Chemical Derivatives has opted for technology, innovation and security, and for the municipality to have leading companies is important for the impact on the industrial economic positioning of the municipality and for the objective of generating employment and wealth."
In addition, Buendía recalled that "the company is monitored and its emissions are monitored 24 hours a day."
Subsequently, the participants visited the company's facilities.
