The Alcantarilla Merchants Association has a new Board of Directors, chaired by Juan Francisco Castillo.
The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, received this morning the Board of Directors that is dismissed, chaired by María Dolores Cánovas, and the new management of the association composed of Juan Francisco Castillo (president), Francisco Javier G. Palacios (vice president), Pepa García López (secretary) and María Victoria López Rubio (treasurer).
The new Board will lead the Association in the period 2020-2024 and was elected in the vote held on January 30.
The previous Board of Directors carried out its mandate in the 2016-2020 period.
The mayor recalled that the City Council maintains a collaboration agreement with the Association "in order to develop initiatives, promote entrepreneurship, professionalization and new business opportunities in the retail sector."
Among the actions that have been carried out between the City Council and the Association is the celebration of the 'Route of the Tapa and the Alcantarilla Cocktail', campaigns such as the January sales, Valentine's Day, Father's Day, Day without VAT, Day of the mother, the showcase contest, Scratch-off game, Halloween, solidarity barbers and the Christmas campaign;
and actions of commercial revitalization and commitment to the environment, such as replacing plastic bags with recyclable paper ones.
