Unanimously approved that a street in Alcantarilla bears the name of doctor Luis Carrillo and the transfer of 700 meters for the expansion and remodeling of the Alcantarilla-Sangonera health center

The Plenary Session of the City Council of Alcantarilla, which was held this morning, unanimously supported the invitation of the mayor, Joaquín Buendía, to the Royal House for the King of Spain to make an official visit to Alcantarilla.

The mayor sent a letter, on December 11, to the Royal House asking for an official visit of the King, to preside over the procession of the Sunday of Resurrection of Alcantarilla, according to the proposal of the Brotherhood of Our Father Risen Jesus, and on the occasion of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Board of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of Alcantarilla.

In addition, during the visit I would know the industrial potential of the municipality, with industries such as Hero that will soon be 100 years old, and the cultural and historical heritage such as the Museum of the Garden, the Ferris Wheel and the Aqueduct.

The Plenary approved, also unanimously, to give the name of the doctor Luis Carrillo to a street of the municipality, for his 35 years of work in the Health Center of Alcantarilla-Sangonera, and for his efforts for the implementation of Primary Care in Alcantarilla .

Likewise, the cession of the land was approved for the extension in 700 square meters of the health center, which will allow the integral remodeling of the facilities.

The Plenary took notice of the resignation of the Councilor for Citizens María Dolores Jiménez, who leaves his minutes as councilman.

The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, highlighted his professionalism during the four and a half years that he has been councilor of the City of Alcantarilla. "His position will be held by José Manuel López Martínez.

The City Council approved, unanimously, to negotiate with the concessionaire of the bus service, the implementation of sound systems for vehicles.

These systems must be installed both inside the vehicle, and in the information panels of the stops located in Alcantarilla.

Family authorization

Another of the motions approved proposes "to ensure compliance with articles 27.1, 27.2 and 27.3 of the Spanish Constitution that guarantees the right to parents so that their children receive religious and moral training that is in accordance with their own convictions. Likewise, the text of the motion recognizes "the professionalism, independence and neutrality principle, as well as the freedom of teaching staff." And the Government of the Nation is requested to respect the Resolution of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Region of Murcia, which dictates the instructions for the beginning of the course in the Teaching Centers, where it indicates that the activities "taught by people outside the cloister of the educational center, families will be informed, in addition to the route or routes that the center uses to publicize institutional documents, through a detailed relationship that the tutors of the different student groups provide

encourage fathers and mothers at the beginning of the school year so that they can express their agreement or disagreement with the participation of their minor children in these activities. "

It also requests the Government of the Nation to ensure compliance with article 26.3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which indicates that "parents shall have the preferential right to choose the type of education to be given to their children."

Tajo-Segura Transfer

The Municipal Corporation also asked the Central Government to respect and comply with Law 21/2013, which establishes the rules for the exploitation of the Tajo-Segura Transfer, and to reconsider the decision adopted by the Minister of Ecological Transition regarding the Tajo-Segura Transfer, in the November and December, and issue an order to transfer the amount proposed by the technicians of the central operating commission.

Another approved proposal asks the Government of the Nation to comply with the rules of exploitation of the Transfer established in the Memorandum, carry out all the necessary actions to prevent the establishment of more demanding ecological flows than those indicated by the Water Law, cease its smear campaign against the agriculture sector in the Campo de Cartagena, with decisions such as not to transfer water through the Mar Menor state, and collaborate with the Government of the Region and the affected municipalities to launch the actions that are more necessary and urgent, to achieve the integral regeneration of the Mar Menor and maintain agriculture, fishing, tourism and residential activity.

President of the goverment

The Plenary, with the votes in favor of the Popular Party, Citizens and Vox and against the PSOE, gave a green light to a motion to request explanations from the President of the Government about the agreements reached with independence and populists;

to a motion of Citizens to show support for Constitutional bodies and to urge the Government of Spain not to make concessions to independent groups;

and a proposal by Vox to declare Alcantarilla as a people that defend the Constitution, respect for the laws and the unity of Spain.

Electrification of the Águilas-Lorca-Murcia railway line

The City Council approved a motion to urge the Government of the Nation to proceed, as soon as possible, to a study for the electrification of the Águilas-Lorca-Murcia railway line and while the park of modernization is modernized trains and are replaced by hybrid models, since currently trains with more than 35 uncomfortable years and with continuous breakdowns are used.

It also passed, unanimously, a motion by which the City Council condemns the violent acts perpetrated against any political party headquarters;

and another for the government team to comply with the motion presented by the PSOE in the Plenary session of April 2018 to recognize the role of women in history and that this be reflected with their names in the streets and squares of Alcantarilla, and add the name of Sofía Balsalobre Navarro.

Also, a green light was given unanimously to a proposal to continue working on the placement of ashtrays in the wastebaskets located in the city and in places where there is an agglomeration of people, continue to comply with the current municipal ordinance, and continue with the informative and awareness campaign on ecological and environmental awareness launched by the City Council.
