Alcantarilla City Council has opened the deadline for the participation of parades in the parade and in the Carnival contest.
Any group may be presented, consisting of a number of no less than six people.
To participate you must register from today until February 14.
The organization will provide participating groups with a list of the music selected for this parade so that they can prepare their choreographies.
The order of participation in the parade will be determined by the organization according to the type of group, number of members and structure of the parade.
The comparsas may not include any vehicle or carriage that has not been previously authorized by the organization.
The jury will consist of between 3 and 5 members linked to the world of dance, music, art and journalism.
The jury will take into account the theme of the troupe, which will be free, choreography, costumes, originality and coordination when it comes to designating the winners.
The jury's decision will be known at the end of the parade, which will be held on Sunday, February 23, starting at 11 am, in the Plaza de San Pedro.
A first prize will be awarded for a local group and another for a visiting group, endowed with 600 euros each, a second prize of 300 euros, third prize of 200 euros, and three fourth prizes of 100 euros each.
