Around 3,000 students from 11 educational centers in Alcantarilla have participated in the activities of the XIV edition of Fire Prevention Week, organized by the Mapfre Foundation, the Professional Association of Firefighters (APTB), in collaboration with the City Council of Alcantarilla and the Consortium of Fire Fighting and Rescue of the Autonomous Community.
Today a party has been held at the Prevention Park, an inflatable house of 400 square meters that has been installed in the fairgrounds, with the aim that the little ones learn, in a playful way, the basic evacuation rules, recommendations to follow in case of fires, tips for fire prevention and recreational activities.
The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, closed the activity together with the Minister of Transparency, Participation and Public Administration, Beatriz Ballesteros, and stressed the importance of the centers participating in these types of activities "in which we teach children to prevent and bring to its nearest environment the basic rules to avoid hazards. "
In the closing party 426 students from the Campoamor, Jara Carrillo, Jacinto Benavente, Samaniego, Our Lady of the Assumption, Las Tejeras and Vistabella schools participated.
In addition, during the week, firefighters have given talks at the Samaniego, San José Obrero, Jacinto Benavente, Jara Carrillo, Our Lady of the Assumption, Vistabella, Sanje, Alcántara, Campoamor, Las Tejeras and Our Lady of Health centers, and in the nursing home Our Lady of Health.
