Luengo announces that in the first quarter of 2020 improvement works will be tendered on three rural roads for 250,000 euros
Sanitation and potable water supply works in the Campico neighborhood of Alcantarilla will begin in January, according to the Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment, Antonio Luengo, after meeting with the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía , to address various issues of interest to this town, such as the aforementioned endowment for the Campico neighborhood, which currently lacks this service.
These works, which will begin in January 2020, have already been awarded by the Ministry, with a budget of 869,996 euros and an execution period of six months.
The contract, already signed, will begin to run after the Christmas holidays so as not to cause discomfort to the residents of the area.
The project includes the construction of a general collector for wastewater collection, with corrugated PVC pipe, and a length of 1,242 meters.
The corresponding branches that will collect the water coming from the houses will also be executed, with a length of 2,560 meters.
In total, 3.8 kilometers of sanitation pipes will be executed.
It also contemplates the construction of a 2,560 meter long pipe network, of ductile iron, with its corresponding junctions, for the supply of drinking water.
Finally, the affected services will be restored and the asphalting of the streets will proceed.
Other performances in Alcantarilla
During the visit, the counselor also announced that in the first quarter of 2020 improvement works on two rural roads will be tendered for an amount of 250,000 euros.
The actions will be carried out on the Jasmine Road, with a budget of 50,000 euros, the Camino Real Road and the Cattle Market Road, with an investment of 202.00 euros.
On the other hand, Luengo explained that the Ministry, through Esamur, has awarded the works for the emptying of the anaerobic sludge digester of the Alcantarilla WWTP for an amount of around 650,000 euros.
