The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, and members of the municipal corporation of the City Council participated this morning in the celebration of the feast of Our Lady the Virgin of Loreto, Patroness of the Air Force, at the Alcantarilla Air Base, where He has celebrated a Mass in his honor and a military act.
The official act, chaired by the Chief Colonel of the Alcantarilla Air Base, Francisco Javier Fernández, began at 12 noon with the entry of military training.
Subsequently, the Colonel addressed the assistants, the Hymn of the Air Force was sung and the Tribute to the Fallen by Spain was performed, with the placement of a laurel wreath at the foot of the monolith where the Virgin of Loreto was located.
The event ended with several jumps of the Air Force Paratrooper Patrol (PAPEA) with the flags of the patrol, the Air Force and Spain.
The mayor congratulated the Air Force on his Patron's day and all the personnel of the Alcantarilla Air Base, which maintains a close relationship with the municipality for many years.
