The Department of Education of the City of Alcantarilla and the Public College of Special Education Eusebio Martínez have organized the day "And now ... What? Emancipation experiences", on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is commemorated today.
The Councilor for Education, Culture and Youth, Marina Lorenzo, stressed that "days like these are essential to show experiences of emancipation of young people with functional diversity, spread the reality of people with disabilities and bet on inclusive and emancipatory models."
The objective of this initiative is to recognize the work, dedication and effort of the professionals who carry out their work in centers, shelters, schools and know to understand family experiences linked to emotion and detachment.
Teachers, fathers, mothers and people with functional diversity are summoned to this day.
The presentations dealt with the emotional management of caregivers, sheltered housing, performing arts as a tool for transformation, and the micro experiences of Astrapace, Apcom, Fundown, Ceom and IES Manuel Tárraga Escribano were presented.
In addition, a bill of rights was read and the members of Inclusive Dance Dédaro, from the CPEE Eusebio Martínez, acted.
The psychologist Mar Martínez, the Alfa association, the director of the Teatro Mas Company, Pepe Galera, the director of the Eusebio Martínez center, Verónica Alfonso, and the teachers Silvia Riquelme, Pilar Aceitón and Laura Alejandra Neme also participated in this initiative.
The day is celebrated at the Infanta Elena Cultural Center from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
