The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, has signed a Decree on the reorganization of powers of the councilors of the City Council of Alcantarilla on the occasion of the incorporation of Councilor José Luis Bernal, who replaces Juan Antonio Mata, who took office as a deputy in the Regional Assembly .
According to the Decree, José Luis Bernal will be in charge of the Department of Urban Development with the urban planning and urban inspection powers, attributions that Laura Sandoval had until now.
Bernal will have to take charge of major initiatives such as the processing of the General Urban Planning Plan, the construction project of the South Round of the city and the monitoring of the railway project, among other works.
For her part, Councilwoman Laura Sandoval will be in charge of the Department of Development of the City and Historical Heritage, with the areas of works, public services and historical heritage.
This Department will complete in the coming months the works of the Acoria Park de la Noria, one of the most important projects in the municipality.
The rest of the councilors will maintain the competences they currently have.
