The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, met today with the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, with whom he promised to "reclaim the investments in infrastructure committed by the previous central government," according to the Minister of the Presidency and Finance, Javier Celdrán, who referred to the "systematic abandonment of investments that have to reach the Region of Murcia, which continues to place us in the tail car and in one of the communities in which the priorities of the State are absolutely minimal" .
"In that claim we will find the mayor of Alcantarilla to join forces," said the counselor.
In this sense, the construction of the variant of the Cartagena-Chinchilla railway line was discussed, as well as the burial of the High Speed ​​tracks as it passes through the Las Tejeras neighborhood.
The works planned for the construction of the third lane of the A-7 motorway and the Northwest Arc were also discussed.
During their meeting, López Miras and Joaquín Buendía also addressed other issues of relevance to the municipality, such as the completion of the rehabilitation of the environment of the Ferris Wheel and the Aqueduct, and the works of the sanitation network in the El Campico neighborhood .
