The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, signed this morning the agreement for the organization of the cycling sports school with the president of the Alcantarilla Cycling Club, José Ibañez Rogero.
The agreement regulates the collaboration between the City Council and the entity for the temporary transfer of the adjacent sports area of ​​the IES Alcantara so that the athletes of the club can train.
The club was founded at the end of last year and has started its activity in mid-2019, therefore, it is the first year that this agreement is signed.
The cycling sports school has 12 students between the ages of 5 and 14.
In addition, the Club has a cadet team in official competition with athletes between 15 and 16 years old.
Under the agreement, the City Council temporarily cedes the use of sports facilities and the entity undertakes to disseminate the program of the activity, in collaboration with the Department of Sports.
