The Catholic University of Murcia, through its Superior School of Languages, will train the instructors of the Alcantarilla Air Base in English.
This is reflected in the agreement signed by both parties and made known by Colonel Francisco Javier Fernández, Colonel of the Alcantarilla Air Base and director of the Méndez Parada Military Parachuting School, together with the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Communication of the academic institution, Pablo Blesa.
"For us it is an initiative more than necessary since we always find several areas that have to do with aspects of NATO, where the fundamental language of work is English," said Colonel Fernandez.
He also stressed that they have selected UCAM as a partner because it has been the offer that best suited the needs of the Base.
"Our work for coordination with different airplanes and with control agencies is always based on English, which is the international language of aviation and it is very necessary that we continue training to improve in this area," said Jorge Mora, pilot of the Air Base and student of the course.
For his part, Pablo Blesa, Vice Chancellor for International Relations and Communication of the Catholic University of Murcia, said that the goal is for students to pass the official English exam 'Trinity' level as it will accredit them to perform international missions.
