Alcantarilla will host this weekend the activities of the Young October, which begin tomorrow, for young people between 12 and 36 years.
From 6:00 pm there will be a chess exhibition, dance show with academies of the municipality, jugger exhibition, demonstration of technological workshops, Marula's musical performance, and the session of the winner of the DJ's contest, at the Adolfo Suarez square.
In addition, the associations of the municipality will install information stands to publicize their activities, and the Local Police will collaborate with an exhibition of the technical and informative material they work with, as well as vehicles, motorcycles and exhibition elements about their history.
On Saturday, activities will begin at 8:00 am with the celebration of the outdoor painting contest;
the Route of the Witch of hiking and Nordic walking, from 10:00 hours;
and the association fair.
In addition, starting at 5 p.m., in the Adolfo Suárez square, the works of the rapid painting contest will be exhibited and from 7:30 p.m. prizes will be given for the contests, V Young October Photography Contest, V Young October Graffiti contest, IV international fast painting contest and the 1st DJ´s contest, in Adolfo Suárez square.
IV international fast painting contest
The IV international fast painting contest will be held on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and will have as its theme the municipality of Alcantarilla, its landscapes, monuments, streets, squares and corners.
All those who wish to participate in two categories, youth, from 12 to 17 years old, and adults, over 18 years old can participate.
The technique is free and each participant must bring their material to participate.
Only one support, canvas or paper, per contestant will be accepted.
Participants will appear on Saturday, between 8:00 and 10:00, at the Department of Culture (Plaza Escultor Anastasio Martínez, 1) to seal the support and collect their participant number.
The works will be presented, without signing, before 5:00 p.m. in the space set up in Adolfo Suárez square for this purpose.
The jury's decision will take place in the same square at 7:30 p.m., and the prizes will be presented, consisting of a prize of 80 euros for the youth category, and the City of Alcantarilla, Department of Culture awards and Department of Education, 40 euros each.
In the adult category, the City of Alcantarilla prize endowed with 1,100 euros, the Youth Department award of 800 euros and the Department of Culture prize, awarded with 600 euros will be awarded.
