The Murcian athlete Sergio López Barranco, who belongs to the Nutribán Club Atlético de Alcantarilla club, is the only athlete in the Region who participates in South Africa in the concentration of the National Athletics Team, preparatory for the official competitions that will be held next year, in specifically the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the European Championship.

The Alcantarilla team athlete will compete in the men's 4X100 test, together with athletes from the Valencian Community, Andalusia, Madrid, Castilla y León and Catalonia, according to the announcement of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation.

The preparatory concentration in which Sergio Lopez Barranco participates will be held from November 30 to December 18 in Stellenbosch (South Africa).
