The Alcantarilla City Council has everything prepared for the celebration of the Tribute to the Flag, next Sunday, October 6.

Throughout the morning, the general rehearsal of the event was held in Adolfo Suarez Square, Main Street and the party grounds, where the Alcantarilla Air Base and military personnel of all the units that are based at the Base, the Military School, have participated of Skydiving 'Méndez Parada', the EZAPAC (Squadron of Parachute Sappers of the Air Force), the PAPEA (Acrobatic Patrol Paratrooper of the Air Force), the 721 Squadron of Air Forces;

as well as the Music Unit of the General Academy of Air of San Javier.

The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, and the colonel of the Alcantarilla Air Base and director of the Military School of Parachuting 'Méndez Parada', Francisco Javier Fernández, supervised the trials.

The act of October 6 will be held in the Adolfo Suárez square, starting at 10:30 am, and will consist of the traditional flag raising and Tribute to the Fallen by Spain, act of Jura de Bandera de Civil Personal, parade air and land on the main street of the town and paratrooper exhibition by the Air Force Paratrooper Patrol (PAPEA).

The event will be chaired by the Chief of General Air Command of the Army of the Air (MAGEN), Emilio Juan Gracia Cirugeda, along with the chief colonel of the Sewer Air Base and director of the Military School of Parachuting 'Méndez Parada', Francisco Javier Fernández , and the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía;

and the president of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, the president of the Regional Assembly, Alberto Castillo, and the Delegate of Defense in the Region of Murcia, José Ignacio Martí Scharfhausen will attend.

'October 12, the Festival of my Country'

In addition, the mayor and the colonel visited the Jara Carrillo and San José Obrero schools where fifth grade students showed the work they have done on the occasion of the Plastic Expression Exhibition '12 de Octubre, the Fiesta de mi País', which It is organized for the fourth consecutive year, in order for children to reflect on belonging to Spain, and the different aspects of this party.

All the students' works will be exhibited next Sunday, October 6, in the act of Tribute to the Flag, in the Adolfo Suárez square.

Tomorrow, after 11 am, at the IES Francisco Salzillo an event will be held for the students participating in the contest, with the projection of images of the work of the Military School of Parachuting 'Méndez Parada', the Squadron of Paratroopers of the Army of the Air (EZAPAC), the Air Force Paratrooper Patrol (PAPEA) and the 721 Air Force Squadron.

At the end, diplomas of thanks will be given to the participating centers.
