Tomorrow also begins the deadline to participate in the V Photography Contest that this year has the motto 'Traditions and huertanos corners'
The activities of October Young will feature for the first time a DJ´s contest for young people between 14 and 36 years old.
The awards consist of a performance, on Friday, October 25, in the Adolfo Suárez square, during the Young October events, and another performance at the May Festivities next year.
The Councilor for Education, Culture and Youth, Marina Lorenzo, explained that "this contest is a demand of young people who participate in the activities of Young October and the associations of the municipality, and is carried out to promote music made by young people, encourage artistic creation and publicize emerging artists. "
The jury will be formed by professionals from the musical world, who will take into account the musical style, the selection of themes, techniques and mixtures to award the prize.
The session must be original and not previously awarded in another contest.
The registration period begins tomorrow and will remain open until October 15.
To participate you must send to the email cultura@ayto-alcantarilla.es the registration form next to a downloadable file of the session or face-to-face.
You can also go personally to the Department of Culture, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 2 pm.
V Photo Contest
Tomorrow also begins the deadline for young people between 14 and 36 years to participate in the V October Young Photo Contest, which this year has the motto 'Traditions and Huertan corners'.
Marina Lorenzo stressed that "you can participate using the mobile camera and it is not necessary to have an SLR camera, so that the youngest are encouraged to participate."
Participants will have until October 14 to submit a maximum of three digital photographs, which must be in JPG and have a minimum resolution of 3 megapixels.
The works submitted must be original and may not have won a prize in any other contest.
The jury will award a first prize of 150 euros and a second prize of 100 euros.
In addition, three prizes will be awarded to local authors endowed with 50 euros each.
The winning photographs will be exhibited publicly.
The jury's decision, formed by photo professionals, will be made public on October 21 and the prizes will be awarded on October 26 at the Adolfo Suárez square.
Registration in this contest must be made at the General Registry of the City Council (Plaza San Pedro, Alcantarilla) or by electronic office at https://alcantarilla.sedelectronica.es/info.0.
The photographs will be sent to the address c.juventudalcantarilla@gmail.com, indicating the name of the file and the author's information.
