The solidarity of the residents of Alcantarilla has allowed to collect eight tons of food, blankets and clothes that are destined to the victims due to the rainy season.
The collection was made during this week in five points that enabled the City Hall located in the Office of Works and Services, the Infanta Elena Cultural Center, the Jara Carrillo sports hall, the Andrés Francés Teruel pavilion (Campoamor) and the headquarters of the Department of Culture
Today a truck with 4 tons of products has been sent to Los Alcázares, and tomorrow another one will be sent with the same quantity.
The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, highlighted "the sensitivity and solidarity shown by the people of Alcantarilla, who from the first day has contacted the City Council to see how they could collaborate and how they could contribute their help."
