Alcantarilla welcomes the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the image of Our Lady of the Aurora, with parties that begin today and end on September 29 with the traditional procession and the XXVI Auroros Meeting.
The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, signed the agreement yesterday with the president of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of the Aurora, Juan Hernández, for the organization of the celebrations.
Buendía announced that from the City Council initiatives will be launched to "value the cultural heritage of the Auroros Bell".
Today, Friday, September 20, starting at 8 p.m., the solemn Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated in the church of St. Peter the Apostle for the 75th Anniversary of the image of Our Lady of the Dawn and its subsequent Besamanos.
On September 21 and 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Besamanos de la Virgen will be celebrated in the chapel of the church of San Pedro Apóstol.
On September 26, 27 and 28, a Triduum is scheduled and on September 29, starting at 7 am, the procession of Our Lady of the Aurora and the XXVI Auroros Meeting will be held.
