3,450 students of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) and Bachelor began their classes today in Alcantarilla, 18 students less than last school year.
The municipality has five secondary schools, three of them public and two concerted.
Specifically, there are 2,643 high school students and 807 high school students who will study during the 2019/2020 course in Alcantarilla.
The five secondary schools in the municipality, IES Francisco Salzillo, IES Alcántara, Samaniego, IES Sanje and Sagrado Corazón, offer bilingual training, and IES Francisco Salzillo also has a baccalaureate at night.
The Councilor for Education, Culture and Youth, Marina Lorenzo, visited IES Francisco Salzillo today, where 625 high school students and 275 high school students began classes.
The institute meets this 50 year academic year.
Marina Lorenzo informed that "the beginning of the course in the municipality has been carried out without incident and with total normality".
In addition, 452 Adult Education students also begin classes today.
Students of the Middle, Higher and Basic Vocational Training Cycles will begin the course on September 23.
