Normality in the municipality of Alcantarilla, where all roads are open to traffic, after the heavy rains recorded yesterday and last morning.
In the early hours of this morning the Cristo Yacente avenue was cut off, in its first section from Príncipe Avenue to the roundabout at the entrance to the San José Obrero neighborhood, due to the water that flowed through the Rambla del Potrox.
For the same reason, the Perito Agrícola Juan López García street was cut off, in front of the sports center, and the section of the Barqueros road was also cut, between the two motorways MU-30 and A-7.
These roads are open to traffic and it runs smoothly.
The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, checked yesterday the device launched by Local Police and the City Council, which had firefighters, Red Cross, Civil Protection, municipal services and works services and professionals of companies that offer services to City Hall, and that "it worked well without serious incidents."
In this regard, the mayor reported that "last morning there were four calls from neighbors with problems of water entering their homes, and a family had to be evicted in the Campico area."
In addition, during the past night and early morning, the Rambla del Potrox, on the Avenida Cristo Yacente, and the Rambla de las Zorreras, on the Javalí road, made it necessary to cut those two sections to the circulation.
The Javalí road is open to traffic and runs smoothly.
The area of ​​the Camino de la Piedra was also flooded, where there was an incident with vehicles trapped by the water that was resolved without problem, and where it already circulates normally.
In the West Industrial Estate, Discovery Avenue and Las Américas Avenue registered water accumulation, they were cut during the night but early in the morning it was reopened to traffic.
The troops had to remove a fallen palm tree at the height of the gas station on Murcia Avenue, two ficus on the main street and a tree that has tilted too much on Madrid street.
Several City Council teams are reviewing municipal sports facilities, and cleaning teams are removing dirt and mud from the affected areas.
