The City Council of Alcantarilla maintains tomorrow, Friday September 13, the suspension of classes in the educational centers of the municipality, according to the order of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Likewise, the service at the Pedro Hernández Caballero day center and all sports activities scheduled at municipal facilities is suspended tomorrow, at the notice of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) of adverse weather events of red (extreme) level due to rains in the Region of Murcia until 6 am tomorrow.
On the other hand, Local Police have cut two tunnels in the municipality for water accumulation, the Jacinto Benavente tunnel, which closed last night, and that of the Black Voice, which closed this morning.
All municipal services are coordinated to solve possible incidents.
Local Police has activated its special protocol in the face of the threat of heavy rain that includes cutting streets and closing gardens that may be affected.
Firefighters, Civil Protection, the City Development Department and the water and sanitation service are also on alert to intervene if necessary.
