The Councilor for Finance of the City of Alcantarilla, Raquel de la Paz Ortiz, presented this morning to the opposition political groups (PSOE, C's and VOX) the draft of the draft budgets for 2019 so that the municipal groups could meet the same before the holding of the Information Committee on Economic Affairs.
The project involves updating the municipal budget, which has been extended since 2016, and mainly updates personnel expenses, which includes the salary improvements applied to workers approved in the General State Budget (PGE).
In addition, the budgets include the modernization of infrastructure, guarantee the provision of social services and the promotion of culture in the municipality.
The approval of the draft budgets will minimize the need for budgetary modifications, since to date it had been working with the credits approved in 2016, which do not correspond to the current reality.
The budget for 2019 is 29,779,821 euros, with an increase of 9.5 percent over the 2016 extended budget, which was 27,162,358 euros.
Raquel de la Paz stressed that "it is intended to consolidate budget stability with realistic and adjusted accounts so that our municipality continues to grow and be an example of good management."
The draft budgets will be presented at the Informative Committee on Economic and Organizational Affairs, which will be held on September 2, and will then be discussed in an Extraordinary Plenary that is scheduled for September 6.
The councilor of Finance advanced that work will begin soon to outline the budget next year.
