Users of the day stay center 'Pedro Hernández Caballero', of Alcantarilla, celebrate from last Tuesday and until August 23 the 'Fiestas del barrio', so that the elderly enjoy fun events in a family atmosphere without have to move from their surroundings.
Among the organized activities are popular games, photocall, mantilla and flamenco day, pintacaras and verbena.
The parties are organized by the day center staff, coordinated by the psychologist, occupational therapists and nursing assistants, so that users can enjoy a representation of the local parties that are usually held in August in neighborhoods and municipalities .
At the same time the mobility of the elderly is promoted with leisure activities.
This day center is located on Antonio Galindo Street and depends on the Alcantarilla City Council.
It is a mixed center that serves 35 people over 60 years old, valid and assisted, in order to promote a better quality of life for users and their families, enhancing their autonomy and adequate living conditions in a family environment.
