The counselor of the Presidency, Pedro Rivera, today showed the support of the Regional Government to the Local Police in the commemorative act of the Patron of the Alcantarilla City Council and of his Local Police Corps, Blessed Andrés Hibernón.
Rivera handed over the Red Cross Police Merit Cross to José Feliciano Mondéjar Hurtado during the ceremony, in recognition of his rapid performance that saved the life of a young woman who did not have vital signs by performing a cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
The councilor stressed that "you protect and watch over the freedoms and rights of the people recognized by the Constitution and our laws.
You are in charge of guaranteeing the safety of the inhabitants of this Region and of this municipality, and you contribute decisively with your dedication and sacrifice, including, as in this case, saving lives. "
During the ceremony, the Cruz de Red Police Merit Award was also presented to José Ángel Elena Martínez and tribute was paid to the retired and deceased municipal employees.
