The Transparency Portal of the Alcantarilla City Council has renewed the INFOPARTICIPA 2018 seal for its quality in the transparency of local public communication granted by the Journalism and Communication Laboratory for Plural Citizenship (LPCCP) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​in which researchers from different universities of Spain are involved.
This Infoparticipa Seal is awarded as a result of the evaluation carried out by the aforementioned laboratory, in which the transparency of the municipal websites is assessed through 52 indicators, adapted to the Transparency Law, of which the Town Hall of Sewer complies 94.23%, standing at over 90%, which is the minimum required to achieve the "Infoparticipation Seal", thereby achieving maximum distinction, being one of the few municipalities in the region that achieved this seal for the third consecutive year .
No doubt this is due to a clear commitment to transparency since the arrival of the new government team in 2015, in whose first review the municipal website barely reached 27% compliance with the 41 indicators that were present at that time, in barely a year, to achieve the INFOPARTICIPA 2016 stamp, as well as a sample of the excellent work of the Office of Citizen Participation and Transparency.
In this fourth edition, together with the Alcantarilla City Council, the town halls of Cartagena (100%), Las Torres de Cotillas (100%), Lorquí (96.15%), San Pedro del Pinatar and Águilas (92) have been awarded. , 31%).
The MapaInfoparticipa is a tool that has been promoting the LPCCP of the UAB since 2012 to promote transparency and the quality of information from local administrations.
The current version, technically improved and containing the history of all the evaluations carried out, has been developed with the support of two R + D + I projects financed by MINECO, under the coordination of two research teams.
Up to now, four evaluations of the websites of the 45 municipalities have been carried out in the Region of Murcia.
The first, before the municipal elections of May 24, 2015, with 41 indicators, and the remaining three, with 52 indicators adapted to the Transparency Law.
This year's evaluation was carried out in the month of January 2019.
From the Town Hall of Sewer we congratulate all the workers of the different municipal areas who have worked to achieve this magnificent result, as well as we recognize the great work of coordination carried out by the Office of Citizen Participation and Transparency.
Transparency is a transversal aspect to all municipal services that requires the work of the entire municipality to provide information in a clear and transparent manner.
