Arcadio Martinez, councilman and candidate of Podemos to the mayor's office of Alcantarilla, has declared that the next legislature the City will remove to contest the position of municipal archaeologist, given that our municipality has an exceptional historical and archaeological wealth, where archaeological sites are inserted they show the different historical periods and the diverse cultures that traveled through this region, with numerous patrimonial elements cataloged as of Cultural Interest, and that make necessary the work of an archeology service in the Town Hall of Sewer.

Martinez added that the next legislature will also create the Department of Historical Heritage that will be responsible for the protection of archaeological sites and property listed in the municipality, as well as our Historic-Artistic, in addition, the figure of the archaeologist will be responsible for ensure that the regulations for archaeological protection approved for the municipal area are applied, both in the Municipal General Plan of Ordination and in the Special Plan for the Protection and Revitalization of the Historic Site
