The events scheduled by the Board of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods began last Ash Wednesday, with the Youth Proclamation of Lent, which is held for the second time in our municipality, by the young María José Guzmán Marín.

These acts are organized by the Board of Fraternities and Pastoral Brotherhoods, in collaboration with the Town Hall of Sewer, through the Department of Culture, Tourism and Celebrations, as well as are already developing for the thirteenth consecutive year, since in 2007 place the sculpture of the Nazarene.
On Friday from the Parroquia de San Roque was celebrated by the streets of Alcantarilla, by the district of San Roque the VÃ CRUCIS presided over this year- by the image of Cristo del Consuelo, belonging to the Brotherhood of the Santísimo Cristo del Consuelo, which is usually find in the chapel of our Municipal Cemetery and that usually comes to process the night of Holy Thursday.

Today in honor, the memory and tribute to all the Nazarenes and brothers of Sewer began with the traditional transfer from the Plaza de San Pedro through the main street with the participation of the Band of Drums and Cornets "Centuriones de San Pedro", from Alcantarilla, to the sculpture of the Nazarene, the work of the alcantara sculptor Anastasio Martínez Valcárcel, located in the Calle Mayor, corner of La Nona and Pasos streets, restored only a few days ago and again placed on the afternoon of last Wednesday, where the tribute to the Nazarene has been paid with the laying of a laurel wreath, from the hands of the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía and the president of the Board of Fraternities and Brotherhoods Pasionarias, José Sánchez del Cerro, in tribute and remembrance of all the Nazarenes, brothers and deceased brothers, with a response offered by the parish priest of San Roque, José Miguel Nadal Beltrán.
There the "Centuriones de San Pedro", as has been usual for a few years, have played a march of the band that they have released, called "Zaqueo", composed by its musical director David León del Tesoro and another classic march, also premiered this morning, "To Jesus the Nazarene."
Of the "Centuriones de San Pedro" we have to highlight that this February 2019, they have just published their first album, a recording shared with two other bands in the 2nd edition of the album "Sevilla Cofrade Música" produced by José Ramón Muñoz Cress, accredited and experienced producer with more than 500 record productions under his belt.
From the place of the monument, about 12:30 hours, marched to the Cultural Center "Infanta Elena", where he has made the presentation of the official magazine and poster announcing the "Holy Week 2019", by Asensio Piqueras Baker, writer and president of the Palín Association (formed by artists and creators).

In this act, the Cofrade Mayor has been appointed, which on this occasion has gone to Fulgencio Sánchez Riquelme, for his long Nazarene life, his connections to the Fraternities and Brotherhoods of our city, his permanent disposition to recount the greatness of our Holy Week, Well as official reporter of Sewer or as a collaborator in various media, are some data, which alone, and would make you exercise our Week with the appointment of Chief Cofrade 2019, but also has been a member of the Board of Brotherhoods and Pastoralarias Sewer Brotherhoods for more than 30 years.
He is currently vice president of the Brotherhood of St. John the Evangelist and Archconfraternity of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary where he has spent his entire life as a brother.
He has contributed for many years to the maintenance of the Brotherhood of Blessed Andrew Hibernón and now he does it especially with the festivity of San Antón.
On Saturday, March 16, at 8:00 pm will be held the VI CONTEST OF BANDS OF CORNETS AND DRUMS "VILLA DE SEARCH, in the Plaza de San Pedro, next to City Hall, with the participation of the Musical Group Our Father Jesus of the Love of Alhama de Murcia, the Band of Horns and Drums Santísimo Cristo of the Column of Daimiel (Ciudad Real) and our Banda de Cornetas y Tambores "Centuriones de San Pedro" de Alcantarilla.
