In the morning of today, the award ceremony for the 2019 Women's Awards was held, which on the occasion of the activities scheduled for March 8, the International Day of Women's Rights in Sewer, reading the Manifesto that at the level regional has been read in the rest of municipalities by the Councilor for Social Welfare and Health, Francisca Terol and have been awarded the two awards established in the Individual and Institutional category, the sewer María Ángeles Garrido, Prosecutor of the 2nd Chamber of the Supreme Court, the Individual and the UFAM Family and Women Unit of the National Sewer Police, the Institutional prize.

These Awards, which are awarded in its eleventh edition, are framed within the events scheduled by the Sewer City Council on the occasion of the International Day of Women's Rights, at the Institutional and Individual level, creating the same in order to recognize the work developed by those people or entities that in their life or doing daily, favor and help a full integration of women in the labor, social and cultural reality of the municipality.
Since March 1, the activities programmed to commemorate the International Day of Women's Rights in Sewer, which the Sewer City Council, through the Department of Social Welfare and Health, along with CAVI Sewer have prepared, not only for this entire week, but also for March 15 and 22 next.
The prize at the Individual level has been given by the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, to the sewer, María Ángeles Garrido Lorenzo, Prosecutor of the 2nd Chamber of the Supreme Court, representing all the women of Alcantarilla, who with their daily activity and brilliant career represents the best contribution and work to overcome the glass ceiling, being a clear example for the elimination of barriers and empowerment of women, in this and in future generations.
María Ángeles Garrido has been Prosecutor of the Supreme Court since January 1998. The honoree has been accompanied by her family and friends, as well as her husband Miguel Ángel Torres, Chief Prosecutor of the Court of Accounts.
In the Institutional category, the award was given by the Councilor for Social Welfare and Health, Francisca Terol, to the members of the U.FA.M.
- Family and Women Unit of the National Sewer Police, for the struggle in favor of women's rights and equality, highlighting the contribution of this Unit to specialized and personalized attention to victims of domestic, gender and domestic violence. sexual, to families and minors.

The award was collected by Eliseo Valcárcel Rejal, chief commissar of the Provincial Brigade of Judicial Police, representing the UFAM Group of the National Police Force, accompanied by the components of the Sewer Unit, the sub-inspector Luis Félix Herrero, the Óscar Igualada officer and the policemen Jesus Cifuentes, Antonio Valera and Osvaldo Pérez.
