Next Friday will take place the gala of delivery of the Women's Awards 2019, which on the occasion of the activities scheduled for March 8, International Day of Women's Rights in Sewer, at 12:00 in the lounge of acts of the Cultural Center "Infanta Elena", where the two awards established in the Individual and Institutional category will be delivered to the sewer María Ángeles Garrido, Prosecutor of the 2nd Room of the Supreme Court, the Individual and the UFAM Family and Women's Unit of the National Sewer Police, the Institutional prize.
In the same we will have the "Artistic Intervention: Interludes", by the Superior School of Dramatic Art of Murcia.
These Awards, which are awarded in its eleventh edition, are framed within the events scheduled by the Sewer City Council on the occasion of the International Day of Women's Rights, at the Institutional and Individual level, creating the same in order to recognize the work developed by those people or entities that in their life or doing daily, favor and help a full integration of women in the labor, social and cultural reality of the municipality.
Since March 1, the activities programmed to commemorate the International Day of Women's Rights in Sewer, which the Sewer City Council, through the Department of Social Welfare and Health, along with CAVI Sewer have prepared, not only for this entire week, but also for March 15 and 22 next.
The prize at the Individual level will be received by the sewer, María Ángeles Garrido Lorenzo, Prosecutor of the 2nd Chamber of the Supreme Court, representing all the women of Alcantarilla, who with their daily activity and brilliant professional career represent the best contribution and work to overcome the glass ceiling, being a clear example for the elimination of barriers and empowerment of women, in this and in future generations.
María Ángeles Garrido has been a Prosecutor of the Supreme Court since January 1998.
In the Institutional category, the prize went to the members of the U.FA.M.
- Family and Women Unit of the National Sewer Police, for the struggle in favor of women's rights and equality, highlighting the contribution of this Unit to specialized and personalized attention to victims of domestic, gender and domestic violence. sexual, to families and minors.

The activities of the program began on March 1 with the "Cry of Women" art festival and throughout this week are conducting awareness campaigns, on Monday 4 it was with the distribution of calendars "Hidden Women", among all the workers of the City council, going to their municipal dependencies.
