The PSOE has presented today a letter requesting the Department of Urbanism to launch an action plan on the aforementioned avenue, located in the Barrio de Santa María between the terms of the hamlet javalinera and the municipality alcantarillero
The councilor of the PSOE Lara Hernandez has presented this Tuesday a letter in the Town Hall of Sewer, addressed to the Department of Urban Planning, Works and Services, so that with "urgent nature" put into action a plan of action on the Constitution Avenue.
The aforementioned avenue is located in the Barrio de Santa María, whose management is divided between the Consistory of the Sewer and the Municipal Board of Javalí Nuevo, since it is located between the two terms.
The mayor recalls in her letter that in the plenary session held in October 2016, the opposition block approved a motion urging the PP government team to make improvements in that neighborhood.
The text of the plenary initiative warned that "the residents of the Barrio de Santa María denounce the abandonment by the Sewer City Council".
The mayor Lara Hernandez regrets that "we are in 2019 and we see that the situation in that area, two years and five months later, remains exactly the same".
The paper submitted by the PSOE again request to Urbanism various actions such as processing the provisional occupation of a plot, which would expand the highway of Constitution Avenue and enable a sidewalk.
It also asks to enable hard shoulders and improve the asphalting, signaling and lighting of the Camino de los Arcos, as well as the setback of a site belonging to the Sewer, which is adjacent to the level crossing of Javalí Nuevo.
The councilor recalls that in the hamlet of Murcia reside 3,252 neighbors, of which approximately 900 are natural Sewer.
"They pay their taxes rigorously, but they are still abandoned by the government team of the Alcantarilla City Council and do not receive the same response as the rest."
The PSOE alcantarillero has presented the letter after last Monday, Japany pedáneo New, Maria Jesus Barquero, publicly showed their discomfort because the Alcantarilla regidor, Joaquín Buendía, has not made improvements in the Camino de los Arcos and has not mediated with the owners of the plot of Constitution Avenue to promote the early transfer of land.
This situation causes that aforementioned avenue has a sidewalk on the side of Javalí Nuevo, but lacks a space for pedestrian traffic on the Sewer side.
The other problem of the avenue is generated for road traffic since, since the parcel that belongs to the term of Sewer is not paved, the road narrows from the Contraparada school to the Camino de los Arcos, passing the two-way traffic to only one.
Monthly visits
The socialist candidate for mayor of Alcantarilla, Francisco Saavedra, went last Monday to the district to know 'in situ' these problems.
Saavedra signed a pact with the pedánea, María Jesús Barquero, "so that in the next legislature we will solve problems common to both populations, through collaboration between the Sewer City Council and the Municipal Board of Javalí Nuevo."
With this pact, the PSOE candidate committed to visit the parish monthly and hold regular meetings with the members of its Municipal Board.
"In this way we can address the situation of the streets that we share both administrations and seek solutions to neighborhood problems related to municipal services, such as cleaning, traffic and important matters such as public safety."
