This year the distinctions have fallen institutionally, to the components of the UFAM - Family and Women Unit of the National Sewer Police, for the struggle in favor of women's rights and equality, highlighting the contribution of this Unit to specialized and personalized attention to victims of domestic, sexual and gender-based violence, to families and minors.
Highlighting, likewise, its special collaboration and coordination with this City Council.
And at an Individual level to the sewer, María Ángeles Garrido Lorenzo, Prosecutor of the 2nd Chamber of the Supreme Court, representing all the women of Alcantarilla, who with their daily activity and brilliant professional career represents the best contribution and work to overcome the ceiling of glass, being a clear example for the elimination of barriers and empowerment of women, in this and in future generations.
