Attention to families, home care or the training of the staff that provides care to Alzheimer's patients are some of the initiatives carried out by AFADE, the association of family members and Alzheimer's patients and other sewage dementias that have visited the regional deputies Inmaculada González and Adoración Molina to listen and attend to their needs.
The day center has a capacity of 90 places, and 65 people with Alzheimer's and mild cognitive impairment are currently being served from Murcia districts such as Sangonera La Seca, Javalí Viejo, Javalí Nuevo and La Ă‘ora, among others.
AFADE-Alcantarilla is a center of reference and responsibility with this work to help citizens on the reality of Alzheimer's, provides services, therapies and care that allow users to maintain physical and mental skills for as long as possible and accompanying them in the disease.
Alzheimer's is a disease that affects nearly 17,000 people over the age of 64 in the Region of Murcia.
