The Mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía and the General Director of Planning, Architecture and Housing, José Antonio Fernández Lledó, visited one of the beneficiary projects of the Housing Plan on Velázquez Street in our municipality
A total of 67 families of Sewer will benefit from 150,000 euros of aid from the previous Housing Plan of the Region of Murcia, to improve accessibility in their buildings and homes.
This was said today by the General Director of Planning, Architecture and Housing, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, and the Mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, during the visit to the "Velázquez 21" building, located on Velázquez street in our municipality, which has been one of the beneficiaries of these public subsidies.
In the visit were also present the Town Planning, Juan Manuel Gómez, with the technicians who have carried out the project and several neighbors of the four families who have seen the substantial reform of the entrance of their building and the adequacy for people with disabilities from the zero floor to the upper terraces of the same.
Fernández Lladó stressed that this aid for the elimination of architectural barriers, which account for 50 percent of the amount of the action, "represent a boost in improving accessibility and also an injection for the architecture and engineering sector, and for so much for regional growth. "
In this building dating from 1976, an accessible route has been made from the outside of the building to the houses, and for this purpose it has built a new staircase, which includes the redesign of the landings, as well as the accessible lift installation.
The performance of this building of four houses and a commercial premises, has received a public subsidy of 27,000 euros on the total budget of the work of 46,540 euros.
