The Ministry carried out measurements for weeks, but the results of its action are still unknown as contamination incidents continue to occur.
The persistence of this situation has led to various protest actions by teachers and students of the IES "SANJE", educational center in which the episodes of bad odors have been concentrated since the beginning of the year.
Bad odors are accompanied by various allergic reactions, headaches, itchy eyes, noses, mouth and throat, as well as nausea (in some cases accompanied by vomiting).
The number of affected and affected is already very high with at least a dozen more serious cases.
The management of the "SANJE" has made multiple calls to the emergency services of 112 and has come to file a complaint with the National Police Station.
As has happened on previous occasions, the bad odors (and quite possibly the chemical contamination that accompanies them) come from the Chemical Pole near the Sewer.
CCOO Teaching denounces neglect, lack of reaction and diligence on the part of the Ministry of Education that has not adopted any measure to protect the educational community of SANJE and the rest of educational centers of Sewer and has not intervened before the Ministry of Industry.
CCOO Enseñanza also regrets the apathy and disinterest of the City Council that privileges the Chemical Pole industries over the health and safety of students and their teaching staff.
