The music in our town had one more year the traditional Concert in honor of Santa Cecilia, patron of music and musicians, organized by the Association of Friends of Music Sewer, at the Cultural Center Infanta Elena, last Saturday with an exceptional program that the members of the Band of this Association interpreted under the baton of its director, the Italian resident in our city Claudio Battaglia.
During the Concert on behalf of the Association, the director presented a diploma as a tribute to the Official Curator of the Sewer, Fulgencio Sánchez Riquelme, for the collaboration they have always had with him, from his work as a historian, chronicler and above all for their collaboration contributions in the regional and local media, giving a space to work that the Band carries out every day.
The concert ended with the premiere of a pasodoble, "Los Uchos", the work of the band's director, Claudio Battaglia, which they completed with an excellent program in which they could listen to the following interpretations, "A mi madre" pasodoble by Roque López ;
"Ballade" (for Soto EB Alto Saxonphone and Band), by Alfred Rede, acting as soloist Yolanda Marín Palop;
"For a handful of dollars" (Banda Sonora), by Ennio Morricone / Arrangement by Eduardo Ramírez Parra and acting as soloist Rodrigo Alarcón Ros;
"Paradise" (Poema Sinfónico para Banda), by Óscar Navarro and directed by Pablo Abellán Álvarez and "Innuendo" (Queen), to conclude with the already mentioned pasodoble premiere.
