Next week the eighteenth edition of the SICARM Technology Fair, promoted by the Regional Government, through the Ministry of Finance and the General Directorate of Information Technology and Heritage, returns to the municipality of Alcantarilla, where we could already enjoy it. the year 2016 with an enormous success of affluence, being the locality with greater number of visits of all the localities in which it was celebrated that year.
The SICARM Technology Fair will reach the Sewer from November 22 to 25.
The schedule will be, from Thursday to Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays also from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in the sports pavilion next to the Jara Carrillo School.
Thursday and Friday mornings will be dedicated to visits of schools that are previously arranged, and the rest of the days will be open to the general public.
This year our neighbors, children, young and not so young, can enjoy many workshops in this new edition of this technology fair:
Workshop 1. Your region in the NETWORK and learn by touching
The Workshop combines the services that the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia makes available to citizens through its various portals (Regmurcia.com, Carm.es, Cecarm.com, murcia112.com, dnielectrónico.es, formacarm, as well as like the webs of the visited town halls), and the learning about the operation of the technologies with 6 pc's with touch screen.
Workshop 2. Safe and responsible use of ICT
There are many risks that young people surf the web if they do not follow the advice of safe navigation and without correct information about the dangers and traps that lie in wait for them.
Through this workshop will be exposed the possible risks and problems that we can find both when using social networks and surfing the net, how to avoid them and what to do in case we have been victims of some kind of attack.
Workshop 3. Virtual reality
Our tent is divided into two zones that work simultaneously.
In the cinema area documentaries will be seen on the natural and cultural heritage of the Region of Murcia, such as posidonia, the railway system, the windmills, the naval defense system of the Austrias, the monastery of San Ana in Yecla, Tower houses in the Region, etc.
In the area of ​​virtual reality will have two options of games, with 5 posts 'The mystery of the Encomienda de Ricote', which through tests reveals the architecture of the Encomienda building and its function as the headquarters of the Order of Santiago , since its construction in the 15th century;
and 'The old cathedral of Cartagena', which shows how this emblematic building was before being destroyed after the Civil War.
Workshop 4. Audiovisual Techniques
The visitors will move for a moment to the world of cinema and audiovisual production with our workshop, composed of three simultaneous sub-workshops within SICARM CINEMA STUDIO.
A stand with three stages so that the assistants live in the first person assiduous techniques in the TV or the cinema and for which we will count on the dubbing studio of SERGIO HUESCAR, recognized dubbing professional in the Region, which makes the content of our workshop one of the most complete of those that can be enjoyed today in the Region
TRAVEL IN TIME: Creation and experimentation with Croma Key to travel through time dressed as a true citizen of the time.
ANIMATE: Techniques for the capture of movement through kinect.
PUT VOICE: Be a true voice actor for a day.
Workshop 5. Leisure and Digital Entertainment
The digital leisure and entertainment sector is unquestionably similar to Virtual Reality.
It is the big MUST to wrap people in scenarios full of fantasy and adrenaline.
Visitors will be able to try the various exhibits and also participate in different activities in 30-minute workshops and through free play.
We can combine the practice in up to three zones simultaneously.
VR EXPERIENCE and DRIVING is our area of ​​experience: immersion thanks to the virtual reality glasses HTC VR Vive and PS4 VR and, as a novelty in this edition, you can experience driving in a driving simulator with Virtual Reality, and driving Formula 1 with our 2 design cockpit simulators for PS4.
PLAY ZONE: try the latest games in the main consoles on the market: Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
Gadgets and technology for leisure: workshop attendees can try different accessories for Nintendo Switch thanks to Nintendo Labo with which you can program and create endless applications with the new console.
Workshop 6. Robotics and Scratch
One more year, and by the hand of Noved, SICARM will host one of the most advanced educational robotics workshops that we can see in the whole country.
This time we will focus on the world of robotics and scratch programming in consecutive workshops of one hour and coordinated by a professional front line: Alberto Bernabéu (EdRoboticgames).
Workshop 7. 3D printing
3D printing is one of the technologies that will mark the future of society according to all experts.
They even speak of a new revolution at the height of the industrial revolutions of past centuries.
Even in its beginnings, it is a vital workshop to understand where this technological revolution we are living is going.
Workshop 8. Augmented Reality
The main objective of the workshop will be to generate curiosity among the participants about how to work with Augmented Reality and how it can be used in the educational context in a creative, dynamic and active learning for students.
Workshop 9. Aerodrome
With this new extra workshop we will turn SICARM18 into an authentic drone flight track, where the participants will start building their own drone, programming it and flying and solving challenges in our track enabled for it, even through the new FPV equipped with VR glasses.
