The central act with the reading of the manifesto in charge of COLOMBINE, Platform of Women Feminist Journalists of the Region of Murcia, will be on the afternoon of next Thursday 22, after finishing the Round Table: "Violence of Gender and Media"
On the occasion of the commemoration of the 25N, International Day against Violence against Women, the City of Sewer, through the Department of Social Welfare and Health, within the Women's Area, has scheduled for this year a series of awareness activities for the population in general, whose common denominator is the visibility of this problem in all social strata, seeking the involvement of all citizens to face and put "hands-on" to eradicate it, through social isolation of the aggressors.
Next Monday, November 19, at 9 o'clock in the morning, the adornment of the Adolfo Suárez square and balcony of the City Hall will be held, where the link against gender violence will be hung.
At 10 o'clock the Campaign of Awareness for municipal employees will begin, with the distribution of bracelets with the theme of this year "Sewer DOES NOT COVER gender violence".
On Tuesday, November 20, the Awareness Campaign will be for the citizens of "Alcantarilla NO TAPA la violencia macho", with the distribution of coasters for the different bars, cafeterias and restaurants of the municipality, in which the company will collaborate Murcia Enrique Bohajar.
At 17:00 we will have a performance against gender violence, with dance and theatrical performance of several works, in Adolfo Suarez Square, with the collaboration of the School of Dramatic Art of Murcia.
On Wednesday 21 from four in the afternoon, until seven in the Infanta Elena Cultural Center, we will have a Self-protection Workshop, given by Pedro Aulló Carrillo.
Already on Thursday, November 22, on the day scheduled for the central events of the planned activities, we find the Literary Meeting, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the Municipal Library, with the participation of local collectives and associations such as Copedeco, Cáritas, Barrios Coordinator and the Social Welfare Department.
And at 10: 35 hours will be held the workshop for the prevention of sexual assault among adolescents "Without a yes, it is a no", which will involve students of 4th of ESO, at the IES Francisco Salzillo, taught by professionals of the CAVI Culvert.
On the afternoon of Thursday from six in the afternoon, at the Infanta Elena Cultural Center, the Roundtable will begin: "Gender and Media Violence", in which journalists Concha Alcántara, Silvia Cabrera, Lola will intervene García and Lola Thank you, all of them journalists, the table being moderated by Radio Sintonía's news manager, Carmen Manzanera.
At the end of the same, at 19:00 hours will read the Manifesto in charge of the platform COLOMBINE: Women Feminist Journalists of the Region of Murcia, this year being invited by the Department of Social Welfare and Health, within the Women's Area, to carry out the same, consisting of women from media throughout the Region of Murcia.
The week of activities continues and on Friday, November 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:35 p.m., we will have the Workshop for the prevention of sexual aggression among adolescents "Without a yes, it is a no", in which they will participate again, in the IES Francisco Salzillo, students of 4th of ESO, being taught by CAVI Sewer professionals.
The program also has from November 26 to December 12, with the exhibition of collective painting "Woman Equality of Rights", at the Cultural Center Infanta Elena, being inaugurated at 20:30 hours on November 26, with the collaboration in this occasion of the Department of Culture.
