The Councilor for Finance of the City of Alcantarilla, Raquel de la Paz Ortiz, has presented this morning to the opposition political groups (PSOE, C's, IU and Cambiemos) and the non-attached Councilor, the first draft of the budget proposal for income for 2019 for an amount of 27,791,790 euros.

An amount that represents an increase of 2.09% compared to the last approved budget, that of 2016, given that it was not possible to reach an agreement to have an updated budget for the years 2017 and 2018.

According to the councilor of Peace, the income budget project responds in essence to the evolution of the budget over the past three years.

It reflects and highlights the decrease in the Urban Real Property Tax for 2019 (the IBI), which drops by 2.80% for next year, as approved by the Plenary last March at the proposal of the Team of government.

What will mean that the residents of Sewer will reduce the payment of this tax in 2019. The councilor of Finance notes that "our taxpayers will support a lower tax burden on this real estate tax resulting from the better economic situation in general and the Town Hall Sewer in particular".

The Tax on Mechanical Traction Vehicles, is adjusted to the vehicle fleet of this year 2018, experiencing an increase in revenues, without any increase in the tax but due to new registrations, as well as the repercussions of the bonuses and exemptions established in the Municipal Ordinance.

The forecasts of the income from the Tax on Constructions, Installations and works supposes an increase in 80% with respect to the 2016 (current budget) due to the revitalization of the constructive activity fruit of the economic improvement that Sewer is having in these years.

There have also been increases in current transfers, which are the revenues that this City Council has for the participation of state taxes and subsidies that come from the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, increasing by 2.47%.

The patrimonial income increases notably in 43.32%, motivated this growth by the payment of canons and administrative concessions.

In short, "an income budget project has been presented, realistic and adjusted to continue on the path of growth and improvement of our city," according to the councilor of Peace, who added that the city of Alcantarilla and its neighbors deserve to have a budget for the financial year 2019, which will be used in depth and which expects to find greater responsibility than in previous years in the political parties of the opposition.
