The Town Hall of Sewer has submitted to the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration the main lines of the municipal budget for 2019 and that will serve as the basis for the preparation of the final budget.
The mayor of the PP, Joaquín Buendía, has planned to raise the Real Estate Tax, the Tax on Economic Activities, the Tax on Mechanical Traction Vehicles and the Tax on the Increase in the Value of Urban Land.
That is to say, all the alcantarilleros would pay more for their houses and cars and, in addition, the merchants for their businesses.
In the decree of the mayor's office it can be verified that the neighbors would pay € 300,000 more for their properties, € 70,000 more for their commercial activities, € 180,000 more for their vehicles and € 140,000 more for the transmission between individuals of their properties.
Arcadio Martinez, Councilman of We Can Sewer, has denounced that "this attempt to raise taxes is a consequence of the disastrous economic management of the mayor Joaquín Buendía and the PP, which has plunged the Sewer in a debt of more than 30 million."
Although the calculation is a procedure corresponding to the Organic Law of budgetary stability and financial sustainability, responds to an Intervention report.
There is room for modification from here to the processing of final budgets in the Plenary Session of the City Council, where political groups can present alternatives.
Podemos Alcantarilla has already announced that it will oppose any tax hike against neighbors and merchants: "we will not allow the PP to squeeze neighbors and merchants to pay for waste such as the Entrevías Park, to which Joaquín Buendía gives half a million dollars. euros of subsidy every year ", declared the purple party.
